Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

My girlfriends and I had a reservation for 7:00 on Saturday night. After asking the hostess 3x how much longer and hr later yes, with a reservation we were seated. The waitress was disagreeable and my salad never came out and when it did it was the wrong salad. When finally the right salad came out my friends were done with there appetizer I told the waitress I didn't want it she said " it was just made" . Really !! Ok, then the main course comes and my veal is floating in the sauce. My girlfriends grouper ( which was the special) was awful. With this said I will not be returning to this restaurant.

The food here is great but I feel like their menu is really Americanized. My boyfriend's parents love this place so we have been here a few times with them. Everytime we go I am disappointed all over again at how pasta-centric the menu is. The last time we went I got lucky with a great lamb special but I feel Italian food is so much more than just big dishes of pasta. To be fair they do offer a side of pasta or vegetable if your order from their carne section but that consists of all your various Parmesan options. In summary this place is great for what it is but I have been to far better Italian restaurants that show the full range of Italian cuisine.

Great 1st experience. Loved the food and the service. We were here at 6pm on a Saturday. Had the veal parm & the grouper special. Excellent. Our server was Madie. She was very good. We will reserve 5 stars until our 2nd visit, which will be soon.

My fiancee and I were seated quickly with our midweek reservation. It went downhill rapidly from there. The lighting was harsh, and when an employee dimmed it slightly, the manager came right over and turned it back up. We were seated by the window, and the flashing open sign was a distraction. The water was poured, the bread and brusccetta delivered, and the specials were read, all at the same time by 3 different staff members. It felt like a Indy pit stop. The breakneck pace continued throughout the meal. Dishes delivered just as the last bite from the previous course was being swallowed. I personally like to have a slight pause between courses.... to catch my breath. The food: The bread was INEDIBLE, texture like it had been microwaved. I flagged the manager who said he knew it was bad, and that they would be fixing the problem soon... he said that it was the same bread they used at their other location where they have a pizza oven to freshen it up. He told us they didn't have a pizza oven here and that they had to use the bread warmer.. After he walked away it hit me. They serve pizzas here! Calamari Friti was very good, delicate breading and quite tender. The accompanying Marana sauce was superb. Portion was ample. Should have stopped there... The Ensalada con Calamari was tough and underseasoned, we muscled our way through as we were quite hungry. As I said before, the entrees were out before our salad forks were down. The Veal Piccata... I was stunned! Staring up at me were 3 pieces of veal that were in danger of getting crushed by the capers. The "outside " pieces were approximately 3"x1-1/5" (half the size of a small pancake), the smaller one in the middle actually made me laugh! It was tiny! The size of a carnival ticket! In my estimation the whole dish would have been less than 2oz of meat. I call the manager over (again), and was told the dish is prepared with the most expensive cut of veal, and that was the correct portion. $20 for six bites! It was cooked perfectly, and the lemon caper sauce was nicely balanced. Veal Parm was average. Cheese was a little firm. Desert was fantastic. They get their pastry from Dolce. Had the tiramisu and the canoli. Wrap: Don't like being rushed. Don't like inedible things on my table. Don't like bird portions. Manager comped the desert, bill still nearly $70 Too many good choices for Italian fare in the area for me to eat here again.

I have been to this location at least 5 times since it has opened and I am shocked at some of the bad reviews. I love the Newtown Square location, but prefer this new one for the more open floor plan and additional space you have. I have gone on both weeknights and the weekend, and have never waited more than 10 minutes to be seated. We always get our wine opened immediately, bread and bruschetta on the table right away. Servers are friendly, and attentive. Host/manager is friendly and stops by to see how we are doing. Most importantly, the food is awesome! I would sell my soul for the recipe for the salad dressing they used on an arugula salad special that we tried. Ravioli with aurora sauce is outstanding, chicken Marsala was delicious. We will keep going back.

I was disappointed with my meal. They do not make their own gravy. They use Scaramuzza's which is a local company.

This place just opened and it's going to get busy fast. They are so nice it's unbelievable!! You have to ask for Mumta and Juan.. They were super helpful and on point with all of our questions. A MUST TRY!! We will so be back soon!

I'm giving 4 stars now. Though, once I return if the next visit is as good as the first I'll give 5. The place is an attractive place and is BYOB. We began with the bruschetta and bread they provide the table. Very good italian bread and tasty bruschetta. We then got our Ceasar salads that were huge! Definitely enough salad for two...I ordered mine with some anchovies and the Parmesan cheese offered finished it off nicely. A third had the mozzarella/tomato salad which was also huge. I had the Shrimp Scampi which was excellent! There were six nice sized shrimp and the dish was perfectly balanced with garlic. The other person has Chicken Parmegian which was probably THE BEST I've ever tasted! A nice sized chicken portion with a side of pasta. The third person's pasta Carbonara was to die for! We finished off with desert (lemon cello and canoli) which were also excellent. The service was very good. Noise level was pretty high. There is no music.

I've gone to the Newtown Fellini's a few times and was very happy with my meals. I was excited to see the West Chester Fellini's open. Went for my birthday with my husband and daughter. I had chicken marsala and it was delicious. Great portions and great service. All left full and happy. We'll definitely be back.

I took my family to Fellini Cafe after seeing that they just open. Let me tell you, Fellinis did not disappoint. We started with the grilled italian artichokes which were out of this world. I had the chicken and eggplant which was unique and delicious. My mother had the veal parmesan which was pounded thin to perfection. All in all it was truly a fabulous experience. Patrizio (our waiter) was super nice and guided us through the entire experience. His italian accent and attitude made the experience extremely authentic. I can't wait to come back and try other delicious italian food!

Had a really good meal with my wife tonight. Service was excellent, decor is clean, simple and appealing. Wife had veal saltimboca (sp), veal was very tender and sauce was good though I personally prefer a bit richer/browner sauce. I had linguine with mussels and it was fantastic. Roughly 20 perfectly cooked and nicely seasoned mussels ringed a plate of (homemade, if not certainly fresh) linguine with a marinara sauce that was both simple and delicious. BYOB is a great way to dine and so close to home plus reasonably priced makes this an obvious go to place for us going forward. Looking forward to trying some of the other appetizing meals we saw coming out of the kitchen.

Absolutely delicious and the service was fantastic. My husband and I called to see if we needed reservations on a Saturday night which, you do, but they were able to get us in right away even though they were booked! BYOB kept the price low and I got to drink what I wanted.

I live down the street and have driven by it everyday and saw that it opened recently. Finally ate there tonight and it was AMAZING. Very nice atmosphere with great Music. My boyfriend and I love to try every byob Italian restaurant we see and this has been by far the best. Great food, amazing dessert. We will definitely be back!

Oh Fellini Cafe... i had such hope ... for this to be a go to place... BUT... i had a 7:15 reservation i was seated at 7:50ish, at this point i needed a glass of wine! its a byob so i did bring... they had no clean wine glasses... so we wait to have a glass of wine... and wait...and wait, finally my husband finished the water in the water glass and we poured some wine, eventually our server stopped by and still no clean wine glasses... we continued to drink from the water glass ( no big deal, they could have offered us water glasses, that would have been cool), any way... i noticed other tables who were there a long time, finally get there dinners and i'm thinking Whoooa thats a long time to wait for dinner...in fact one table had their food boxed as they were waiting so long to get their dinner i guess they just wanted to go home... the restaurant started to clear out and our dinners came, the food is good.. maybe it would be best to order take out and eat at home... :( i will add that this was a saturday night and every where is busy...

I really enjoyed my meal at Fellini. I went months ago when they first opened and was impressed with the interior and of course, the food. I actually live right next to this place and let me tell you: it is ALWAYS packed on the weekends! Get a reservation for sure! Love that it's BYOB.

My friends and I have been to the Media location multiple times and we loved it, so we decided to give the West Chester location a try. Long story short, we were incredibly disappointed, both with the food and service, and will not be coming back. It took us an hour to be seated, despite having reservations. When I first came in, the hostess apologized and merely said they were a little crowded, and to check in with her once our party had arrived. Not once did she give me an estimated wait time. Once my party arrived, maybe ten minutes later, she said there would be a little bit of a wait, and we were not seated until forty minutes later. Once seated, we waited another 15 minutes to place our order. We also brought our own wine, and the waitress opened the bottle for us, but never gave us wine glasses. We had to ask for them, twice! Our food came out slowly and when we asked for bread, which should have been included with our mussels, they were stale and cold.

We had reservations at 730pm on a Saturday. We did not get seated until 830pm! The waitress did not greet until 15 minutes in. We placed our order as soon as she greeted us since we were late for our movie. I asked her to open our bottle, which she did. But did not give us wine glasses?! We got stale bread. I had to ask for crostini with the mussel appetizer, which I guess doesn't come with it? I have always been a fan of Fellinis, but I will not be coming back to this location. I'll go to Media instead.

This place opened up at the old Mythos location which was good but expensive. I'm not sure if this Fellini's is connected with any of the other ones in the area. It is BYOB. We were seated and treated by our waiter, a nice gentlemen from Greece actually. Right off the bat we got complimentary bread and bruschetta. I picked up the calamari insalata and a chicken entree (forgot the name but covered in mushrooms, onion, prosciutto, and cheese). Both were great. This isn't your standard "Americanized" Italian food and the menu looked very diverse. I'll have to throw this into the rotation of new Italian spots popping up in the area.
